Western Civilization:1815 To The Present

Here are some brief instructions for our Learning Objective essay. For history classes, we provide the opportunity to look into a specific topic with more depth and scope. You are allowed to pick your own topic, research it, and place the event or trend in historical context. In other words, offer some background on your topic and explain how it made an impact on its historical timeframe or future events and trends. One of the few catches is that it must be within the timeframe of our class, i.e. 1814 to present, and something that has impacted European History. Here is the prompt: “Within the time period of our course, choose a person, event, or trend and explain why you think your choice make a significant contribution to history.”
