Why must we “walkthru” the Bible” to grasp its stories, its structure, and its geography? How should our relationship to the Bible be different as we work toward a college degree? How does this course on Biblical Literacy support the outcomes of ORU’s ‘Gen Ed’ program to help you grow in mind, body and spirit as you serve God and others? Based on your assigned readings, prepare a first-person essay of 750 words (3 pages, double spaced) that defends the value of biblical literacy related to a well-rounded college education. Your essay should define the concept of biblical literacy, describe how its supports the aim of a whole-person college education and why this is important to your generation’s future (Project 1).
