What Hostess and union could have done to improve negotiations.

In 2012, Hostess had to close all of its factories and liquidate the company. There were several reasons for this, including poor management and a change in the American diet to include less junk food. But the last straw was a strike by the Bakers’ Union. Even when told that the company would have to close if they chose to strike, the union did it anyway. Around 18,500 employees lost their jobs. Name one thing that each side could have done to improve negotiations. Note: This forum is not a discussion of who was at fault – there was plenty of fault to go around.
