As we have seen, identity is a central theme in many works by Latin American thinkers. Drawing on selections from at least three Latin American thinkers, write an essay on some philosophical issue(s) related to the question of identity. Questions to be addressed might include: What kinds of identities are there (ethnic, national, transnational, racial, personal, gender, political, etc.)? How are identities related e.g., ethnic vs. national vs. racial)? How does identity function? How is identity formed and how does it develop? How does it change?
