Answer the following questions):

1.     What is the purpose of writing?

2.     What skills or experiences from this course can you apply in your program-specific courses?

This is essentially a reflection on the study of writing and the skills you have been using and improving throughout the course. The first question your work should address is: what is the purpose of writing? To help get you started on this topic, think about your experiences reading the works of authors familiar and unfamiliar to you while in ENGlish.Think about what you choose at the bookstore, library, and the checkout line at the grocery store. Think about what you read at work. Think about how you communicate with friends, family, coworkers, etc. Think about what circle/s you are in, and what other circles have you experienced through writing.

Finally, relate this course to your program of study. Though you are not necessarily going to a four-year college or university to study writing and literature, you have developed certain skills that are applicable to any program of study, from diesel mechanics to registered nursing. Consider what skills or experiences from this course can be applied in your program courses.
