Why and how the United States became involved in the Cuban war

The report should explain why and how the United States became involved in the region at the time we are studying (hint: look at the content due on the day of your presentation for help deciding what to focus on). Your presentation should consider: the condition of the region before US involvement (war or political upheaval or stability or alliances?), the goals for the involvement (control or trade or influence?), the method of involvement (wars or political pressure or economics or secret operations?), and the outcome if known.

Your paper should explain the goals for American intervention in the region, and if you feel they were achieved. It must have at least 5 outside sources and, as with all written work in this course, it must have citations.Though based on your work for the group project, this paper should be an individual effort.
