Why would raising the federal minimum wage be important to Human Resource Management?

The controversial subject federal minimum wage is an issue that interests me as single parent, voter, and employer, and employee.

My research question is “Why would raising the federal minimum wage be important to Human Resource Management?”  I need a better topic proposal for my Human Resource Management final paper.

My investigation will focus on the relationship between how politicians, families, employees, and employers view raising the federal minimum wage.
